Nordic Pole Walking
Nordic Pole Walking has been proven to have a positive effect on health, increase physical fitness and ability, and assist in post-surgery rehabilitation.
This low impact form of exercise is beneficial for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Pole Walking utilizes 90% of your body’s muscles, as compared to regular walking which utilizes 40% of the muscles in your lower body. Nordic Pole Walking allows your body to burn more energy, while the rate of perceived exertion is less (RPE).
Pole Walking has been credited with improved posture, faster weight loss, improved balance and increased cardiovascular health, improved joint mobility and natural gait pattern. It reduces the stress on knees and hips with the support of the poles while walking.
Instruction in this activity is offered on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting!
